Board of Selectmen

The Town of Freedom operates under a Board of Selectmen form of government. The three member board is elected at town meeting, each term for a three-year period. The Board of Selectmen is the governing body responsible for establishing town policies. The citizens are known as the legislative body. The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Selectmen to be responsible for supervising and conducting the day-to-day operations of the town and to carry out the policies established by the Board of Selectmen.

The Board of Selectmen meet weekly on Mondays starting at 6:30 pm.  Anyone wishing to be placed on the agenda should contact the Town Office at 539-6323 or send an email to townadmin@townoffreedom.net no later than 1:00 pm on the Thursday prior to the meeting.

The Freedom Board of Selectmen will hold their weekly meeting on Monday, August 2, 2021 commencing at 6:30 PM at the Freedom Town Office. 

The meeting space will accommodate appropriate social distancing seating for limited public attendance.  In the event attendance exceeds meeting space capacity, meeting may be relocated to the Town Hall.  Please feel free to submit your comments or questions by email to townadmin@townoffreedom.net, by mail to Selectmen, P.O. Box 227, Freedom, NH 03836, or via fax 603-539-8270 and they will be addressed during the public comment portion of the meeting.
