Board of Selectmen

The Town of Freedom operates under a Board of Selectmen form of government. The three member board is elected at town meeting, each term for a three-year period. The Board of Selectmen is the governing body responsible for establishing town policies. The citizens are known as the legislative body. The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Selectmen to be responsible for supervising and conducting the day-to-day operations of the town and to carry out the policies established by the Board of Selectmen. The Board of Selectmen meet weekly on Mondays starting at 6:30 pm.  Anyone wishing to be placed on the agenda should contact the Town Office at 539-6323 or send an email to townadmin@townoffreedom.net no later than 1:00 pm on the Thursday prior to the meeting.
