TOWN OF FREEDOM

VOTER REGISTRATION SESSION

The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Freedom will be in session on:

Thursday, August 29th, 2024, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Freedom Town Hall

This session will be for additions and corrections to the Voter Checklist. 

NO changes to party affiliation will be accepted at this session.

New Voters: Applicants for registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicile should bring that proof when they come to register. Qualified applicants who do not possess proof, or do not bring proof with them may register if they sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications for identity, age, citizenship, and domicile.

Transfer Station Permits can now be purchased for the 24/25 season. Please visit the Transfer Station or Town Office to purchase. Permits are $20 for the first vehicle and $5 for additional vehicles.

The Carroll County Communication District is asking for your help in compiling more accurate data of internet service. If you could click this link and test your internet speeds. This will be used to corroborate existing information shown on current public maps. The data is collect anonymously. If you have changed your mailing address, please notify the office by phone 603-539-6323 or email at office@townoffreedom.net to avoid not receiving any important correspondence from the office in a timely manner such as you tax bill or any land use board notices.

As of April 10, 2023 the Trasfer Station will not be accepting brush on Mondays only until further notice.

At the Selectmen’s Meeting held on Monday, June 7, 2021, Chairman Les Babb presented Freedom resident Velma Hormell with a proclamation and the Boston Post Cane.  At 96 years young, Velma is the 25th Freedom resident, as well as the fourth member of her family to receive the cane.
