A bracelet was found at the transfer station recently. If you believe it to be yours please contact the town office with a description so that we can return it to the rightful owner.

The Transfer Station will not be accepting any hazardous materials at this time while we conduct a site clean-up and an assessment of feasibility for each item moving forward.  Brush, C&D and metal will still be accepted for those with a sticker.

If you have changed your mailing address, please notify the office by phone 603-539-6323 or email at office@townoffreedom.net to avoid not receiving any important correspondence from the office in a timely manner such as you tax bill or any land use board notices.

As of April 10, 2023 the Trasfer Station will not be accepting brush on Mondays only until further notice.

At the Selectmen’s Meeting held on Monday, June 7, 2021, Chairman Les Babb presented Freedom resident Velma Hormell with a proclamation and the Boston Post Cane.  At 96 years young, Velma is the 25th Freedom resident, as well as the fourth member of her family to receive the cane.

 

Officer Jamie Mullen was sworn-in as Freedom’s Police Chief during the Selectmen’s Meeting held on Monday, June 7, 2021.  Mullen was promoted by the Board of Selectmen following Chief Josh Shackford’s announcement of retirement effective June 3, 2021.
